ICU Coaches Courses
International Cheer Union (ICU ) in cooperation with European Cheer Union (ECU) and Slovenian Cheerleading Association (CZS).
The ICU bronze level cheerleading and cheerdance coaches education program offers instruction on the fundamental aspects of coaching. It looks at the history of cheerleading and cheerdance along with the definition of a coach and their role as a communicator, educator and motivator. It focuses on the correct progression of skills and technique in cheerleading as well as for all 3 styles of dance: freestyle pom, jazz and hip hop. It emphasizes the importance of working in a safe practice environment, building strong, healthy and successful athletes that exhibit good sportsmanship. The two day course offers both theory and practical with an exam at the end.
